This week has been very much centered around gardening and preparation for Spring planting, so I haven't done a great deal 'creatively' (unless you count how to out-fox a bush turkey!) So, I thought I'd cheat a little and show one of my (many) UFO's. The charm squares are from Moda -one I am sure is 'Charisma', the other, I can't remember. The quilt top is destined for a cot sized quilt, I've been on the look out for a contrasting backing and framing fabric but nothing has grabbed me so far. It will keep.
The super awesome stool under the unimpressed looking devil cat was last weekends $12 op shop find. For the moment, it is safe, but it has a split down the other side...so it could get a spontaneous make over at any moment.

Beautiful..And very very cool stool..Wish I could find stuff like that..
ReplyDeletewow what a find the stool is, very cool, loving the quilt top too
ReplyDeletelove the quilt and the stool and the crabby cat. you just reminded me , i need to steptoe a stool from the nature strip. one of our uninspired neighbors left it out for garbage collection. ooroo
ReplyDeleteGreat looking quilt Bianca. Love the devil cat.
ReplyDeletehaha...love your devil cat! Your quilt is beautiful. I wish I had a lovely quilt...one of these days, I'll pull my finger out and learn how to make them:)
ReplyDeletejust found your blog through creative spaces and i LOVE IT! will be following from now on :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, spring garden prep time! Been doing that here too! Good fun. I am looking forward to homegrown food again that is for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt top. Yep I am sure it is charisma. We have it at work. Lovely.
& the stool is great. I got one like it earlier in the year only mine had a mustard colour top on it! & bent legs! Oh well, it got a crochet makeover! check my crochet labels for it on my blog if you want. Thanks for visiting me! Sock yarn now is cool. Makes you look very clever when you aren't really! lol Go & give it a try. It really isn't so hard! I am not an advanced stage knitter at all! I just decided to try it & if you can follow a pattern you will be fine! At first it feels fiddly but you get the hang. Good luck.
I love that stool and can't believe you snagged it for 12 bucks. Nice one!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous - some little bubba is going to have very peaceful dreams.
I found you via kootoyou and I'm so glad I did. I'll look forward to seeing what you're up to.
That cat looks plain evil - talk about if looks could kill but of course it has taken over the stool - you must have bought it especially for him (or at least that's what my cats always tell me when I find them where they shouldn't be)
ReplyDeleteLove the stool! I'm so about furniture at the moment, can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteGreat legs on the stool! And I love nothing better than a square quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove the stool......the shape is so beautiful! I hope some fabric for backing catches your eye real soon so you can finish that gorgeous quilt!
