The Scent of Bliss.

Jonquils, Eggs and Bacon, Early Cheer. Daffodils.

Winter and spring bulbs. I Love them.

The scent of my childhood still evokes a sense of 'coming home'. 

Instant..... tranquility. 

Every breath in, an inhalation of bliss.

There are a few scents that for me have an intrinsic ability to heal. 

Early cheer, Huon pine, Night blooming jasmine, Sandalwood.

Temple of the Blood meditation for menstruation

I bought the temple of the blood CD by Katherine Cunningham (available to buy here) a couple of years ago and I have been using this guided meditation every month when I bleed. I truly believe menstruation can be a deeply empowering and powerful time for a woman and Katherines CD (and her website) is a fantastic resource I wanted to share for anyone interested in reclaiming their bodies and feminine spirit.

Blessings for the darker half of the year to come.

At 5:29pm (Brisbane time) the sun will set on the lighter half of the year as we move into the darker half. For us here in the Southern hemisphere, tonight begins Samhain, also known as Halloween, (All Hallows Eve) All Souls Night, Last/Blood Harvest, Ancestor Night, Feast of the Dead, Nos Galan Gaeaf (Welsh) and undoubtedly known by many other names in as many places and times.

Faith irrelevantly, it marks undeniably a time of transition, as seasons meld into each other, when the balance between life and death is obvious. 


However you chose to mark or ritualise the passing of the seasons, spare a moment to appreciate the flow of life around us, especially evident in the night sky tonight with the Full Moon in Scorpio.
