I could have borrowed this book from the library... I could have. But the waiting list is longer than it would take for the next and last book in the series to come out (Some time at the end of next year) However, this book will pass through many hands if that negates some of the consumer impact. Its already got a 3 person deep line up waiting for me to finish it. I honestly don't know if ebooks will ever catch on. Its not the same for me. Books have a smell and a feeling and a warmth about them that a screen no matter how dimly lit can ever hope to replicate. I am sure anyone who's read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (now Brian Sanderson) can understand my transgression.

I know what you mean about having an actual book in your hands. I'm reading Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin right now. It just wouldn't be the same if I were reading an e-book!

Totally agree about books. I tried an audio book and seem to keep losing the plot - and its a book I have read many times
ReplyDeleteWell I don't know this series of books, but I'm totally with you in the need to have a book I can hold and smell - perfect!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it all :-)
